UP sets record of 1.24 lakh Covid tests in 24 hours

LUCKNOW: UP achieved another milestone with 1.24 lakh Covid tests in the past 24 hours. The total number of tests has now crossed 44 lakh. Both are the highest in the country. After the state achieved 1 lakh tests in a day, chief minister Yogi Adityanath had set 1.25 lakh as the next target.
"The number of tests in the past 24 hours was 1,24,274, taking the total number of tests so far to 44, 20,101," said a government spokesperson. Meanwhile, the CM held a meeting with officials, directing them to have a special focus on Lucknow and Kanpur.
