On Saturday, couple Pearle Maaney and Srinish Aravind announced they were expecting their first child through the actress’ social media page, in her quintessential quirky style. When we caught up with Pearle, who reveals she’s three months pregnant, she said, “I am throwing up almost every day. Vomiting is the new norm here.” Pearle, though with all her chirpiness, says that she is having a tough time dealing with the morning sickness that lingers whenever she eats her meals. The actress says that Srinish is “overjoyed to be dad”. “He is here whenever he gets a break from the shoot of Sathya Enna Penkutty. I am not going for shoots as a precautionary measure against Covid-19, but I do small videos from home,” she says. “Our little one will arrive in March.”The couple, who fell in love during their stint in the first season of Bigg Boss Malayalam, had begun a series named Avastha but had to pull the plugs abruptly. “We got to know about the pregnancy during its shoot. After that, we decided not to engage with too many people as it will be risky for the baby too. I thought it was better that we shoot it when we really feel safe,” Pearle says. Currently, she explains she is taking it slow in terms of her projects due to the pregnancy. “I have no qualms about the idle time as I am enjoying this right now. However, I am waiting for the discomforts to vanish to begin something interesting. Right now, I am communicating with my baby and asking the baby not to let mamma throw up like this,” she gushes. Talking about the food she craves now, Pearle says, “I am in love with my mummy’s naadan food. I used to like fish a lot but now it makes me nauseous now; but I have chicken. Apart from that I enjoy eating oranges, tomatoes, raw mangoes and vegetables.” Revealing that everyone at home is in a celebration mode, she says, “I am yet to tell my Bigg Boss family. I put a post on social media as everybody was asking me about it.”
