Part of an under-construction flyover collapsed at Sohna Road in Haryana's Gurugram on Saturday. The flyover in question is being constructed between Subhash Chowk and Bhondsi.
There have been no casualties in the incident.
The Gurugram Police and officials of the construction company reach the spot to investigate the matter.
Two people have suffered minor injuries, Prashant Panwar, Additional District Commissioner (ADC), Gurugram stated.
"So far there is no report of casualty. We have cordoned off the area. NDRF team is at the site. We have also diverted the traffic," He further added.
The Sohna road project is 21.66 km-long and it is being constructed in two packages. The first part includes an underpass and an elevated road from Subhash Chowk in Gurugram towards Badshahpur covering 6 km.
The part that collapsed was part of the first package.
The Haryana government avoided a serious crisis as the accident occurred during the night, and the traffic is low due to the weekend lockdown imposed in view of the coronavirus pandemic.
