NSW has recorded four new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, with two cases in hotel quarantine.

Of the other two cases, one is a household contact of a previously identified case connected to the Apollo Restaurant cluster in Potts Point while contact tracers are working to determine the source of infection for the fourth case.

In Victoria, the state recorded 17 deaths and 208 new cases on Sunday, and in Queensland a baby boy is among two new cases announced. He is a family member of one of the existing positive cases linked to the Brisbane Youth Detention Centre outbreak.

NSW Health announced one of Sunday's cases is a second security guard who worked at the Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel while it was operating for people in quarantine from overseas.

"This case worked at the Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel while it was operating for people in quarantine from overseas," NSW Health's Dr Jeremy McAnulty said.

NSW Health is working to establish how he contacted the disease, including probing "potential links to the previously reported case of a security guard at the hotel", he said.

"Contact tracing and investigations into the source of infection of the new case, including potential links to the previously reported case, are continuing. At this point there is no indication of additional risk to the community from the hotel," NSW Health said in a statement.

In the 24 hours to 8pm on Saturday night, 26,480 tests were reported in NSW. The state is treating 90 people for COVID-19, with seven of those in intensive care and five on ventilators.

People who had visited Westfield at Burwood - including Kmart and Woolworths - between 6-7pm last Thursday and Service NSW at Burwood from 2.30 - 3pm on Friday are considered casual contacts of one of the cases.
