Lucknow: RTO deadline to renew registration

LUCKNOW: Regional Transport Office (RTO), Lucknow, has given 30-days time to vehicle owners to get the registration of their vehicles renewed. The order to the effect was issued on Wednesday.
All the vehicles which have completed 15 years of registration, need a renewal. The vehicles which are unfit for usage after 15 years or more, need to be surrendered to the office.
The RTO has issued directions to the enforcement officers to check and limit vehicles on the road which have an invalid registration.
After the fine amount for various traffic violations was increased by the state government in June, driving an unregistered vehicle attracts Rs 5,000 as fine which can go upto Rs 10,000 on subsequent offence.
