Reiterating that the NDA would go to polls in Bihar under the leadership of Chief Minister and JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar, BJP president J P Nadda on Sunday asserted the strength and unity of the BJP-JD(U)-LJP alliance in the state.

This comes amid the tussle between the JD(U) and the LJP, with senior leaders of both parties trading barbs on several occasions.

Speaking on the last day of the two-day meeting of the BJP’s state executive through the virtual medium, Nadda expressed confidence about the NDA’s prospects in the upcoming Assembly polls. “One knows the result when BJP, JD (U) and LJP come together… We will work for every booth as our job is to add value to our alliance partners,” he said.

Nadda said the pandemic was likely to stay till the year-end and one had to live with the health threat. “After Covid and floods, we have to deal with the upcoming Bihar polls. We have to take proper care of ourselves while campaigning. Door-to-door campaigning becomes very effective in the current circumstances,” he said, and praised the state party unit for staying connected with its workers online.
