Police are appealing for information after a bin bag containing various dead birds was found dumped in Gwynedd.

The bag containing dead woodpigeons and other species of birds was fly-tipped in the Rhosbodrual area of Caernarfon, said North Wales Police.

Officers from the Rural Crime Team tweeted about the incident and shared a photo of a black refuse bag and what appeared to be a white carrier bag surrounded by dark feathers.

They said: "Waste containing various dead birds (woodpigeon and some other species) has turned up in the Rhosbodrual area of Caernarfon.

"Flytipping at best; the unlawful killing of birds at worst. Any info?"

Anyone with information is urged to get in touch with North Wales Police via 111 or using the online chat system.
