Benintendi was off to a 4-for-39 start prior to being placed on the injured list. He managed a pair of infield singles in that 8-2 loss to Tampa Bay. Boston is just 3-7 in his absence and has turned over the leadoff spot in the lineup to Kevin Pillar and Alex Verdugo.
