Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday directed to increase the number of RTPCR investigations during a review of the coronavirus epidemic in the state. Kumar gave this instruction during the review meeting related to COVID-19.


The Chief Minister also directed to conduct the maximum investigation in Diara and big areas. He said that the availability of RTPCR machines should be ensured at the earliest so that the number of investigations could be increased.

He said that more and more investigations will allow them to be treated at the right time and the remaining people will be protected from infection. He said that motivate everyone to use the mask and also tell people about its advantages and disadvantages.

Kumar said that the population density of the state is high, so all of us have to be more and more conscious about the prevention of corona infection. During the review, Principal Secretary of the Health Department, Supriya Amrit said that till August 7, 8 lakh 70 thousand 852 samples of the corona were tested, which has increased to 22 lakh 28 thousand 516 as on date.

He said that during this period, the rate of recovery of patients in the state has increased from 64.44 percent to 78.05 percent, which is about 4 percent more than the national average of 74.3 percent. Amrit informed that a 500-bed COVID Hospital in Bihta in Patna district will be started from August 23 through the PM Cares Fund.
