Noida Sector-19 RWA raises water, drain issues with authority

NOIDA: A meeting of Sector-19 RWA was held with Noida Authority's officials on Friday where residents demanded construction of CC roads in the sector, reconstruction of broken culverts on drains, coverage and repair of sidewalls, the new pipeline for water supply which has been dismal, barbed wire railings for safety, new sewer lines, dust-free carpeting on the pavement and central verges on the road from Indo Gulf Hospital to district magistrate’s camp office intersection.
“A meeting of Sector-19 RWA and members of Federation of Noida Residents Welfare Associations (FONRWA) was held today with Rajeev Tyagi general manager Noida Authority in charge of work circles 1-10 where the sector RWA raised issues of water, roads, open drains and sewers with the official,” said Laxmi Narayan RWA general secretary sector 19.
Narayan further apprised an earlier meeting with authority officials on August 19 which dealt specifically with the acute water problem faced by the sector since long and reported by TOI earlier.
"In that meeting, we had raised the issue of the acute problem of dirty and low-pressure water supplied to the sector since long to Avinash Tripathi OSD and RP Singh DGM (Water and Sewer) Noida authority and demanded concrete steps. Same issues were raised with GM Tyagi on Friday. While we were told earlier that new pipelines will be laid, the work is yet to show results as residents daily suffer water problems in the sector,” said Narayan.
While FONRWA president Yogendra Sharma and Sector 19 RWA president SS Rana urged for speedy redressal of the issue, Tyagi apprised on the ongoing process of the work and assured to solve all these problems.
“All work and issues raised by the RWA have been noted. We will complete them as soon as possible as work is in progress on some issues,” said Tyagi.
