The Kumaran Nagar police arrested three men for beating a senior citizen to death on Tuesday.

Chennai: The deceased was identified as Punniyakoti and the accused as Ganesan (31), Suresh (24) and Mani (21). The police said that Ganesan’s wife developed a relationship with one Dinesh. Infuriated over this, Ganesan ,who was drunk, and friends misspoke of Dinesh’s wife. Her father Punniyakoti got into an argument with him and the trio beat him with a wooden log. He died on the way to hospital.
