
Karnataka KCET Results 2020 HIGHLIGHTS: In just 21 days after the examination, the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) released the result for the Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2020 today. Over 1.53 lakh (1,53,470) students have qualified for engineering seats this year. The students qualified in other courses are, Agriculture- 1,27,627, Veterinary Sciences- 1,29,666, AYUSH- 1,29,611, Pharma- 1,55,552.
Deputy Chief Minister C N Ashwathnarayan said that the counselling process will be held online this year considering the COVID-19 pandemic situation. The seat matrix ratio will also remain the same as it was last year. “While the 45:30:25 ratio will be continued, the government’s share will be 45 per cent, COMED-K and NRI/Management quota will share 30 and 25 per cent respectively,” officials clarified.

In KCET, as many as 1,27,627 students cleared the exam for agriculture courses while over 1.29 lakh passed the veterinary sciences paper, and in AYUSH and pharma subjects as many as 1,29,611 and 1,55,552 students cleared the exam. In engineering, as many as 1,53,470 students passed.
A total of 80 students scored full marks — 60 out of 60 — in Biology, in Chemistry three students scored full marks, however, no one scored full marks in physics and maths.
KCET was conducted across 127 centres which include 75 new centres. Candidates were given the choice of selecting an exam centre. Further, social distancing was followed during the exam, as informed by the authorities.
Candidates will have yo undergo document verification. This year, the entire process will be held digitally. Candidates can apply for document verification from September 2 onwards. From September 2 to 3, candidates having rank from 1 to 2000 will be allowed followed by those till rank 7000 from September 4 to 6. The rounds will go one till September 27 which will cover students obtaining the last rank.
