PATNA: Famous folk singer Sharda Sinha was on Friday diagnosed as being infected with Covid-19.
The 68-year old singer herself shared this information through a video message on her verified Facebook page. Sinha, who is very famous in the entire Hindi belt for her Bollywood and Chhath puja songs, presently lives in Rajendra Nagar locality of the state capital.
She was awarded Padma Bhushan in 2018.
In an emotional message to her followers, Sinha said, “You people will be very saddened to know that I am suffering from the infection of covid-19. It seems Covid-19 walked into my home on its own, because I had no contact with people from the outside home for many days. Despite taking so many precautions, the coronavirus knocked my doors. Now, I will appeal to all of you to take care of yourself and wash your hands every time, so that you remain safe from all these things.”
"Your blessings are very necessary for me. I am now going (to a hospital). When I will return, I will be present before all of you. Many-many thanks. Your blessings and love are required for me,” Sinha said in a short video clip.
