• Former president Barack Obama yesterday blasted US President Donald Trump for having "no interest in using the awesome power of his office to help anyone but himself". 
• US President Donald Trump has been on the campaign trial on Thursday (Friday AEST), speaking near Biden's hometown of Scranton, saying he "abandoned" Pennsylvania. Biden moved from there when he was 10 years old.
• Trump's former 2016 campaign manager Steve Bannon was arrested on fraud charges related to fundraising to build a wall on the US's border with Mexico. He was found on a yacht owned by Chinese billionaire Guo Wengui off the coast of Connecticut.
• Vice-President nominee Kamala Harris dicussed the need to tackle structural racism. She made a veiled reference to President Donald Trump, saying: "I know a predator when I see one."
