In a bail application before the Supreme Court on Friday, lawyers for Taylor said the mother-of-three was suffering from mental illness and had been homeless when she breached her bail.
'In my submission, her homelessness seems to be a substantial catalyst for her misadventure,' lawyer Michael Gatenby told the court.
'The difficulties she faces is that she has mental health issues and she's homeless.
'It's that circular argument where she is committing offences of breaching bail because she is homeless and does not want to go to the police station because she knows if she does, she is going to be in trouble.'

If granted bail, Taylor proposed to stay with her birth mother who needs full-time care after suffering a debilitating stroke.
However, Justice Jean Dalton noted that Taylor had only recently connected with her birth mother while she was in custody.
'She says she has a good relationship with her biological mother and her husband and that they are supportive of her. What the affidavit does not say is that the relationship is so short-lived that is has been formed while she is in jail,' Justice Dalton said.

'They have never tried to live together and when one looks at the disorganised and chaotic behaviour of this lady, it would be an absolute struggle for anyone to take her into their home and let her live there.'
Justice Dalton said Taylor's proposal to act as a carer for her sick mother was 'unworkable' and there was a 'shocking' lack of compliance with her bail conditions.
'She is not in a fit state to look after herself to the extent that she can't manage to report - not on one or two occasions, but on 50 or 80 occasions,' Justice Dalton said.
Justice Dalton said Taylor was an 'inappropriate risk' in the community and refused the bail application.
