Brisbane immigration detainee accused of possessing, distributing 'child exploitation material'
A man currently detained by Australian Border Force at the Kangaroo Point Central Hotel in Brisbane is accused of possessing and distributing "child exploitation material".
The detention facility has been at the centre of several recent refugee rights protests, including one demonstration last weekend that resulted in the arrest of at least four protesters.

Police executed a search warrant of the male detainee's room on Thursday and seized electronic devices, which investigators allege belonged to the man.
He was issued with a notice to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on September 18 for one count each of possessing child exploitation material and distributing child exploitation material.
Queensland police have not released any information regarding the man's age or background.
