NEW DELHI: Nifty Financial Services index was trading with losses at 11:22AM (IST) on Thursday.
Shares of ICICI Bank (down 2.43 per cent), HDFC Asset Management Company (down 1.62 per cent), HDFC (down 1.55 per cent), Axis Bank (down 1.4 per cent) and ICICI Pru Life (down 1.22 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
While Power Finance Corporation (up 1.55 per cent), Cholamandalam Investment & Finance (up 0.49 per cent) and REC (up 0.09 per cent) were among the top gainers.
The Nifty Financial Services index was trading 1.15 per cent down at 10915.15 around 11:22AM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 74.10 points at 11334.3, while the BSE Sensex was down 307.19 points at 38307.6.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 16 were trading in the green, while 34 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Zee Ent., Tata Power, Ashok Leyland and NTPC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of ABB Power Products, Essel Propack, Aditya Birla Fashion (PP), KIOCL Ltd. and JSPL hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while CKP Leisure Ltd., SMVD Poly Pack Ltd. and CKP Products Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
