Constable accused of rape says 2 dismissed cops trapped him

Asif Patel was dismissed from duty in 2019 after a woman claimed he had filmed her during intercourse
The complainant who was also fired in 2019 is now heading for Mantralaya with the case
Apolice constable has been dismissed from the Pune police department after he was accused of rape , filming the act and demanding money by threatening that the video would go viral on social media. A case in this regard was registered with Kondhwa police back in 2019.
Following theaccusations , constable Asif Kadar Patel has been removed from service by additional police commissioner Ashok Morale. Morale said, “Pune police department dismissed Patel. Against this order, he can appeal to Mantralaya within 60 days.”
According to Patel, previously dismissed constables Shailesh Jagtap and Parvez Jamadar have made false accusations against him about raping a woman. He claims that even the woman was instigated to press charges against him (Patel) so that they could extort Rs 25 lakh from him to “settle the case”.
According to the cops, Patel met the woman between 2009 and 2010. After she had attended a party with her friend, Patel hinted interest in taking things ahead. He offered her a drink during the fete. The next morning, she claimed she had found herself in a room in Lulla Nagar, where she was allegedly filmed during intercourse. She says, Patel also threatened to release clip on social media. A case in this regard was registered in 2019 and it entailed Patel’s suspension.
However, Patel had his own set of accusations. “The constables had helped the woman in question in one case and now, she has filed a false rape case against me. Not just that, but it was said that I took a video and demanded money. The woman could not produce any such evidence in the court about me making a video. I was granted bail as the case is going on.”
Patel believes that Jagtap and Jamadar were the ones demanding Rs 25 lakh through the woman. When he refused to pay, a case was filed. “I will appeal to the Mantralaya, requesting a proper investigation in this matter,” he said.
Moreover, if Patel is to be believed, the woman who has accused him also has a case registered against her at Dattawadi police station. Allegedly, she married a person who works in Australia. He was embroiled in a family dispute, during which she blackmailed him with a “false accusation”. This man had approached the police.
