FAKE ALERT: Old video of Mahesh Bhatt shared to claim he’s angry over dislikes on Sadak 2 trailer

CLAIM
A Twitter handle by the name of @iArmySupporter posted a video of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt in which he is screaming with anger. The user tweeted that video to claim that Bhatt was miffed over one crore plus dislikes his newly directed film Sadak 2 received on YouTube.
In the video, Bhatt can be seen with his wife Soni Razdan and daughters Alia and Pooja.

TRUTH
The video is from December last year when Bhatt got angry while answering a question over depression. It has nothing to do with Sadak 2 trailer which released on August 11, 2020.
VERIFICATION AND METHODOLOGY
Using keywords ‘Mahesh Bhatt angry’ on YouTube search, we found a video uploaded to channel Movie Talkies on December 4, 2019.
Titled ‘Alia Bhatt Gets Scared As Mahesh Bhatt Gets ANGRY on Media While Answering Questions On Depression’, it was the same video as the one now being shared linking to Sadak 2 trailer.

As per the description given to the video, Bhatt family was addressing a media gathering during the book launch of Alia’s sister Shaheen Bhatt.
Times of India reported about this incident on December 9, 2019. As per the report, Bhatt’s sudden burst of anger upset Alia.

VERDICT
Times Fact Check has found that an old video of Mahesh Bhatt getting hyper is being shared with a false claim that he was angry after looking at the dislikes Sadak 2’s trailer received on YouTube.
