Gyms, swimming pools and indoor sports courts will be able to reopen from 31 August, Nicola Sturgeon has announced.

The first minister told Holyrood the move would also apply to places such as dance and gymnastics studios, where people over the age of 12 could take part in non-contact activity.

She said more restrictions may be lifted on 14 September.

It could see sports stadia and theatres reopened with strict limits on capacity and social distancing.
