NEW DELHI: S&P <a href="/topic/BSE-SmallCap-index" target="_blank">BSE SmallCap index</a> was trading with gains at 01:10PM (IST) on Wednesday.

<br> Shares of Cigniti Technologies Ltd (up 13.73 per cent), Sunflag Iron (up 12.99 per cent), <a target="_blank" href="/irb-infrastructure-developers-ltd/stocks/companyid-20738.cms">IRB Infrastructure Developers</a> (up 12.87 per cent), <a href="/topic/Newgen-Software" target="_blank">Newgen Software</a> (up 12.32 per cent) and Action Construction Equipment (up 12.24 per cent) were among the top gainers.

<br> While <a target="_blank" href="/vascon-engineers-ltd/stocks/companyid-30972.cms">Vascon Engineers</a> (down 6.33 per cent), Jay Bharat Maruti (down 5.14 per cent), Prozone Intu Properties Ltd (down 4.96 per cent), Vikas Ecotech (down 4.96 per cent) and Reliance Naval and Engg (down 4.79 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

<br> The S&P BSE SmallCap index was trading 1.27 per cent up at 14334.43 around 01:10PM.

<br> Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 48.85 points at 11434.2, while the BSE Sensex was up 176.26 points at 38704.58.

<br> Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 33 were trading in the green, while 17 were in the red.

<br> Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Tata Power, Ashok Leyland and <a target="_blank" href="/punjab-national-bank/stocks/companyid-11585.cms">PNB</a> were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

<br> Shares of IRB Infra Dev, Atul Ltd, ITI Ltd, ABB Power Products and Birlasoft hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Panth Infinity Ltd., <a target="_blank" href="/emmsons-international-ltd/stocks/companyid-5607.cms">Emmsons International Ltd.</a>, Darshan Orna Ltd., Colorchips New Media Ltd., Unishire Urban Infra Ltd., B P Capital Ltd., Megastar Foods Ltd., Modulex Construction Technologies Ltd., N2N Technologies Ltd. and Libord Finance Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
