01/8I drank aloe vera juice for 7 days and this is what happened
Aloe vera, a succulent plant species of aloe found in most of the tropical countries and in abundance in India, is one of the most underrated naturally occuring beauty products. Chances are that it's growing in a pot right outside your window and you have never bothered to even look at it with interest, but after reading many surprising stories of the benefits of the medicinal plant, I thought of trying it out in the best possible way - drinking its juice for a week. And no prizes for guessing I was pleasantly surprised at the outcome. So, let me take you through my seven day journey of drinking the so-called miracle drink.
I cut some aloe leaves from the plant adorning my balcony, washed the leaves thoroughly and then cut them in two halves. I scraped the gel part of the plant and kept it in a glass jar, which went into the freezer later on. For my day 1 ritual, I kept aside some aloe gel, which I blended with some ice cold water with my hand blender, well my aloe juice was ready!
It was day 2 of my beauty experiment, and my skin was seeming visibly bright. Maybe it was just psychological, hence I went ahead with my day 2 beauty ritual. Mixed some aloe gel with ice cold water and drank the juice in one go. It was slimy, but refreshing. By evening, the slight inflammation on my skin had drastically reduced. It was a happy sight.
After my day 4 ritual of drinking aloe vera juice, I felt my skin's dryness had reduced drastically. Well, the plant contains 98% water and is considered to be a natural moisturiser to hydrate the skin.
On day 5, my skin seemed softer and more radiant, though it's been rather rough for a few years. Well, why not aloe vera is said to lock moisture into the skin making it softer.
A pimple that had been troubling me since over a week began to subside and that was the moment when I realised the miracle drink may possibly be working. That was perhaps because aloe vera juice boosts the blood flow in one's skin and cleanses it by warding off the bacteria.
Well, it was the last day of the beauty experiment and a look at my skin was enough for me to realise that this experiment shall continue. The skin seemed lighter, brighter, softer and clearer. We loved the aloe vera juice experiment, tell us if you'd like to try it too.
