Arnott's sparks debate with three Shapes-flavoured perfumes - including Cheese and Bacon, Chicken Crimpy and Pizza
- Arnott's Australia have shared pictures of its Shapes-flavoured perfumes
- The fragrances were posted to the company Instagram account on Monday
- But it has been discovered that the perfumes aren't real, but an Arnott's idea
- However the brand did tease that customers will have to keep an eye out
Arnott's Australia have released pictures of its new Shapes-flavoured perfumes, with family favourites like Cheese and Bacon, Chicken Crimpy and Pizza turned into scents.
The official Arnott's Instagram was the first account to share the images which featured pink, orange and purple bottles of biscuit-smelling spray - but not everything was as it seemed.
'Roses are red, violets are blue. If you were a box of Shapes I'd pick you,' the caption read underneath the snaps.

Plenty of excited customers said they 'hoped the news was real' and were excited to purchase some for their friends and family.
'How do I buy this? It would be amazing,' said one person.
'It looks good enough to eat. Sign me up!' said another.

People began tagging their Shapes-obsessed friends, commenting that 'they would love this', but the 'dream perfume idea' very quickly fell apart

A spokesperson from Arnott's told FEMAIL you won't be seeing them anytime soon.
'Arnott's Shapes has always been known for its "Flavour You Can See",' the spokesperson said.
'We wanted to have a bit of fun and tease the concept of "Flavour You Can Smell" - similar to when you open a box of Shapes - to see what reaction Aussies would have to wearing the scents of our most delicious Shapes flavours.
So while it isn't real just yet, they said 'Aussies might have to keep their eyes peeled in the fragrance aisles'.
