NEW DELHI: S&P BSE MidCap index was trading with gains at 01:03PM (IST) on Wednesday.

Shares of Future Retail (up 19.98 per cent), Shriram City Union Finance (up 9.59 per cent), Adani Enterprises (up 8.75 per cent), Varroc Engineering (up 7.94 per cent) and National Aluminium Company (up 6.91 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Amara Raja Batteries (down 2.78 per cent), Kansai Nerolac Paints (down 2.01 per cent), Bharat Forge (down 1.82 per cent), Cholamandalam Investment & Finance (down 1.62 per cent) and Bayer CropScience (down 0.72 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The S&P BSE MidCap index was trading 1.01 per cent up at 14805.25 around 01:03PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 52.95 points at 11438.3, while the BSE Sensex was up 186.99 points at 38715.31.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 34 were trading in the green, while 16 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Tata Power, Ashok Leyland and PNB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of IRB Infra Dev, Atul Ltd, ITI Ltd, ABB Power Products and Birlasoft hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Panth Infinity Ltd., Emmsons International Ltd., Darshan Orna Ltd., Colorchips New Media Ltd., Unishire Urban Infra Ltd., B P Capital Ltd., Megastar Foods Ltd., Modulex Construction Technologies Ltd., Libord Finance Ltd. and Shri Niwas Leasing and Finance Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
