Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot may expand the cabinet to fill vacant posts and accommodate Sachin Pilot loyalists to these posts. While one of his ministers is in a coma in the hospital, another was recently appointed as the head of the Rajasthan unit of the Congress.

The maximum number of ministers of Gehlot can be 30. Currently, he has 22 ministers. Of these, Bhanwarlal Meghwal is seriously ill at the hospital, and Govind Singh Dotasara was appointed the head of the Congress in Rajasthan. Three other ministers Sachin Pilot, Vishvendra Singh, and Ramesh Chand Meena were dismissed.

The pilot group reportedly asked that some of them have been accommodated in the cabinet. Business Standard reported that Pilot sought berths for two of his most loyal supporters - Vishvendra Singh and Meena - as well as two top Congress leaders who were with him.

The Congress government led by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot in Rajasthan won the trust vote in the assembly on 14 August.

It was unclear how many members voted for Gehlot's government in the House. The ruling Congress has 107 MLAs in the 200-member assembly. BJP has 72.

The pilot said that after the trust vote, former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot said that the trust vote was passed by a "very good majority". "Despite various efforts by the opposition, the result is in favor of the government."
