The Skoda Enyaq iV teasing campaign continues with the Czech automaker previewing the headlamps of the zero-emission SUV.
Featuring the state-of-the-art LED matrix technology, the front lighting units have incorporated LED DRLs and a sharp styling that is echoed by the taillamps.
“The design of the Enyaq iV’s lights is alluring and friendly”, Petr Nevrela, chief of exterior lighting design at Skoda, said. “The precise lines, geometric arrangement and especially shining glass surfaces will charm the eye, and new details become apparent from every different angle of observation and under changing light conditions.”
Skoda has dubbed this approach the ‘Crystal Lighting’, and they have embedded it in the front and rear lighting units.
The latest teaser images provide a clearer look into other aspects as well, such as the grille with a chrome surround, sharp styling of the bumper and aggressive lines on the hood, as well as the ‘Skoda’ lettering in the middle of the tailgate.
Inside, it will feature a multi-layer dashboard with a large 13-inch infotainment system, digital instrument cluster and head-up display with augmented reality. The atmosphere will be enhanced by the ambient lighting and the Enyaq iV should be quite spacious, considering that it will have a flat floor.
Underpinned by the Volkswagen Group’s MEB platform, which is designed specifically for EVs, the Enyaq iV, which will be unveiled on September 1, will be available with three battery sizes, rear- and all-wheel drive and five power levels, with outputs ranging from 146 HP to 302 HP. The long range variant will have a 310-mile (500 km) autonomy and the base grade will be able to travel for 211 miles (340 km) on a single charge.
