SC is set to pronounce its verdict on Rhea Chakraborty’s plea for transfer of FIR filed against her alleging abetment in actor Sushant’s death to Mumbai. The SC, if it orders a CBI probe, will also decide which court — the one in Patna or Mumbai — will have jurisdiction over the FIR and consequent investigation. SC also said that any other FIR registered in connection with the Sushant's death will also be investigated by the CBI. We hope that we should get justice very soon. The family is very happy with the verdict.

Since Bihar police registered a full-fledged FIR which already stands referred to CBI, the central agency should probe the case: SC
The jurisdiction of the Mumbai Police conducting an investigation under Section 174 CrPC is limited. Since Mumbai police had registered only an accidental death report for Rajput's death, it had limited investigation powers.
Supreme courtSC ensured that there was no confusion about CBI being the sole authority to probe the mystery behind Rajput's suicidal death and that no other state police could interfere with it.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s death on June 14 has led to a volley of controversies, which involved the Mumbai police, Bihar police, Enforcement Directorate as well as the CBI probing his untimely demise. The Supreme Court has now announced that the Central Bureau of Investigation will take over the probe of Sushant Singh Rajput. According to Times Now Supreme Court has also pronounced that pronounced the verdict on Rhea Chakraborty's plea, the case will be transferred to Mumbai.
CBI will be competent to probe not only Patna FIR but any other FIR related to Rajput's death case.

Talking to a news portal about the same, Samuel Haokip reportedly said that Sushant had moved in with the actor’s team to the Pali Hill flat and that all the discussions to salvage Sushant’s damaged reputation were together in the team. He added that the team was also discussing the legal recourse after the allegations came out. According to him, Sanjana had left for the United States and did not pick up the phone when they contacted her the first day. He also added that had the actress responded to the allegations sooner than she did, the damage would have been less.
