Flood warning issued for Cooks River in inner-west
The Bureau of Meteorology has advised people along the Cooks River in Tempe and Marrickville to be on alert for flooding on Wednesday evening.
"An abnormally high tide is likely to cause minor flooding along the Cooks River at Tempe Bridge (on) Wednesday evening," a warning on the bureau's website reads.

The river is likely to peak near the minor flood level of 1.30 metres at around 8pm on Wednesday night on the high tide.
The Inner West Council warned nearby residents to "stay careful" throughout the evening.
In other parts of the state, a severe weather warning was issued on Wednesday advising people to expect damaging winds in excess of 120km/h.
People in the Hunter, Illawarra and parts of Mid North Coast, South Coast, Central Tablelands, Southern Tablelands, South West Slopes, Snowy Mountains and Australian Capital Territory Forecast Districts are on alert.
A vigorous cold front is moving across western NSW, reaching eastern parts overnight.
"For parts of the NSW coast and ranges between the Barrington Tops and the southern Alps, gusts in excess of 90km/h are possible on Wednesday evening and Thursday morning," the bureau said.
"For Alpine areas above 1900 metres, wind speeds could average 80 to 90km/h and peak wind gusts could exceed 120 km/h. Blizzards are also possible."
The threat of severe winds is expected to ease for far western NSW in the afternoon and for eastern NSW during Thursday, although conditions will still remain very windy in both areas, including Newcastle, Wollongong, Nowra, Batemans Bay, Goulburn, and Thredbo.
The latter recorded gusts of 109km/h earlier on Wednesday.
