A 21-year-old woman accused of killing her boyfriend has made a brief appearance in court.
Makgodi Josephine Pheena from Soshanguve appeared in the Soshanguve Magistrate's Court on Tuesday facing a charge of premeditated murder.
National Prosecuting Authority regional spokesperson Lumka Mahanjana said Pheena had applied for legal aid.
"Pheena allegedly killed her 30-year-old boyfriend, Andile Charles Rasmeni, by pouring him with acid. The matter was postponed to 28 August for a formal bail application. The State will oppose bail," added Mahanjana.
