After Trinbago won the toss and chose to field first, Guyana, who finished as runners-up in the previous edition, put up 144 on the board after the end of the rain-induced 17 overs. Chasing a decent target of 145, Sunil Narine scored a blistering fifty off 50 balls before getting dismissed by Imran Tahir. Darren Bravo scored a decent 30 which helped Trinbago go over the line in the end with just two balls to spare.

When one brother fails, another delivers! After Darren Bravo got dismissed in the third ball of the over by Naveen-ul-Haq, his brother Dwayne took the responsibility on himself to score the winnings. With a boundary on the fourth ball, Dwayne gave Trinbago a memorable opening night four-wicket win against the Guyana Amazon Warriors, who fought on till the end.
After Bravo braved Paul for a six in the previous, TKR now need just 5 runs from the last over. TKR are 140/5 after 16 overs.
TAHIR STRIKES! Pollard's gone on 10 after he swings through a full-toss and just chips it flat towards long-on to the hands of Brandon King. Tim Seifert comes on in his place. Bravo ends the over with a six. TKR are 129/4 after 15 overs.

Imran Tahir is introduced in the attack and its not a good welcome as Narine whacks him down the ground for a four and then gets hold of the lose half volley outside the off stump to deposit it over the ropes towards the deep extra cover region. 17 came off the over and TKR- 81/2 after 9 overs.
A great grab by a diving Brandon King to send Munro on his way for 17 off 7. Romario Shepherd gets his first. TKR- 58/2 and still need 88 from 61 balls
BREAKTHROUGH! Guyana get the man-in-form as Naveen dismisses Simmons on 17! The batsman tried to go for a pull shot but it goes high in the air hitting the toe-end of his bat and straight into the hands of Imran Tahir. TKR are 22/1 after 4.1 overs.
And there he is! Simmons (17*) ends his frustrating streak and gets the first boundary for Trinbago against Green. On the fourth ball of the over, he hits another to mid-off -- back-to-back fours! Narine's on 3*. TKR are 22/0 after 4 overs.
After Chris Green's economical over, Romario Shepherd comes into the attack for Guyana. A visibly impatient Simmons tries to slog it but he fails four times in a row. Swings and misses. Just a single and a wide in the end. TKR are 9/0 after 3 overs.

Pooran is picking Bravo well and lofts his slower one over long-off for a SIX! and then gets a boundary of his pads. 1 6 L4 1 2 2 and that makes it 16 runs from the over. GAW- 105/3 after 13 overs.
