At the same time, the number of infected patients has crossed 27 lakh. But the good thing is that the number of people recovering from the infection has increased to more than 19.5 million and the investigation has increased.

787 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Delhi due to which the number of infected people increased to more than 1.53 lakh on Monday. At the same time, the death toll increased to 4,214 as 18 more patients died due to infection. Here the number of cases under COVID-19 has increased to 10,852 which was 10,823 on Sunday. While the number of infected has increased to 1,53,367. On Sunday, 652 new cases were reported and eight patients died.

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Kovid-19 of 3,09,41,264 samples were tested in the country till August 17, of which 8,99,864 samples were tested on Monday itself. According to statistics, out of the 876 people who lost their lives in the last 24 hours, the highest number of 228 people were from Maharashtra. This is followed by 120 in Tamil Nadu, 115 in Karnataka, 82 in Andhra Pradesh, 66 in Uttar Pradesh, 51 in Punjab.
