KCET 2020 results to be announced on August 20

BENGALURU: The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (CET) results 2020 will be declared on August 20, 2020, as per the latest updates. The KCET 2020 Results date was confirmed by the Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister Dr C N Ashwath Narayan.
Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) had conducted the KCET 2020 for admission into professional courses on July 30 and 31 despite the Covid pandemic and opposition from some sections of students and parents.
As many as 1.94 lakh students appeared in the entrance test at 120 places in 497 centres across the southern state.
In view of COVID-19, measures such as maintaining of social distancing norms, use of hand sanitisers and thermal screening were ensured by the staff. The students were provided hand sanitisers, and their temperatures were checked using a thermal gun before they appeared for the exam.
CET counselling and verification of documents will be held online this year, enabling the students to complete these formalities from their homes itself.
The Karnataka CET examinations are conducted by the government every year. Students take the exam to gain entry into various professional courses such as engineering, technological studies, agricultural studies, veterinary studies, etc.
