Biocon executive chairman Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw infected with COVID-19!

Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, executive chairman of Biocon Ltd, based in Bengaluru, said on Monday night that she had been found infected with COVID-19 during investigations.

The 67-year-old veteran of the biotech industry said in a tweet, "I have been found positive in the Covid-19 investigation. There are mild symptoms and I hope it will be cured. ''

Responding to his tweet, MP Shashi Tharoor said, "Sad to hear this. We want to see you healthy soon!

The total number of cases of COVID-19 in Karnataka by the evening of 17 August increased to 2,33,283.
