Covid in Haryana: 63 new cases, 74 discharged in Ambala

AMBALA: 63 people tested positive for Covid-19, increasing the case tally to 2,703 with 340 active cases in Haryana's Ambala district on Tuesday, said civil surgeon Dr Kuldeep Singh.
“Of the 63 new cases, 33 are from Ambala Cantt, 24 from Ambala City, three each from Chourmastpur and Mullana," said Dr Kuldeep.
As many as 74 patients were discharged from the hospital on the day, taking the recovery count to 2,341 in Ambala.
“With the recovery rate of 86.60%, the case tally reached 2,703 in Ambala on the day, of which; 2,341 patients got discharged, 22 died and 340 are active cases," he said.
“So far, we have collected 48,221 samples for Covid-19 testing in Ambala, and it is 39,354 samples in the district per 10 lakh population," he said.
