NEW DELHI: Nifty Auto index was trading on a positive note at 10:54AM (IST) on Tuesday.

<br> Shares of <a target="_blank" href="/ashok-leyland-ltd/stocks/companyid-14041.cms">Ashok Leyland</a> (up 2.23 per cent), <a target="_blank" href="/maruti-suzuki-india-ltd/stocks/companyid-11890.cms">Maruti Suzuki</a> (up 1.94 per cent), <a target="_blank" href="/eicher-motors-ltd/stocks/companyid-13787.cms">Eicher Motors</a> (up 1.78 per cent), <a target="_blank" href="/amara-raja-batteries-ltd/stocks/companyid-12713.cms">Amara Raja Batteries</a> (up 1.34 per cent) and <a target="_blank" href="/balkrishna-industries-ltd/stocks/companyid-14013.cms">Balkrishna Industries</a> (up 1.23 per cent) were among the top gainers.

<br> While <a target="_blank" href="/motherson-sumi-systems-ltd/stocks/companyid-10878.cms">Motherson Sumi Systems</a> (down 1.22 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

<br> The Nifty Auto index was trading 1.12 per cent up at 7953.45 around 10:54AM.

<br> Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 84.40 points at 11331.5, while the BSE Sensex was up 266.65 points at 38317.43.

<br> Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 37 were trading in the green, while 13 were in the red. 
<br> 
<br> Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, NTPC, Tata Motors and ONGC were among the most traded shares on the NSE. 
<br> 
<br> Shares of KIOCL Ltd., IOL Chemicals, Amber Enterprises India Ltd., Ruchi Soya Inds and Tata Consumer Products hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Mittal Life Style Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
