The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) today expelled three of its MLAs from the party for indulging in anti-party activities.

RJD Principal General Secretary Alok Mehta told reporters here that on the instructions of RJD national president Lalu Prasad Yadav, three-party MLAs have been expelled from the party for six years for their involvement in anti-party activities.

He said that the MLAs who have been expelled from the party include Prema Chaudhary, who won the 2015 election from Patepur Assembly constituency, Faraj Fatmi, MLA from Kewati and Maheshwar Prasad Yadav, MLA from Gaighat.

Meanwhile, the son of former Union Minister Ali Ashraf Fatmi and MLA from Kewati Faraj Fatmi said that the RJD has nothing to do with the interests of the minorities. Now, this party uses minorities only for votes and is crushing its leaders.

Mr. Fatmi said that Tej Pratap Yadav, son of RJD the President Lalu Prasad Yadav, had campaigned against the party candidate during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections but the party did not take any action against him. He said what was the fault of his father MF Fatmi, who was always dedicated to the party, due to which he was not made the party candidate from Darbhanga in the last Lok Sabha election.
