On Tuesday, The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) wrote to Ravi Shankar Prasad, Union Minister for Communications, to endeavour the ban on chinese technology companies ZTE corp. and Huawei Technologies co. from the 5G network roll out in india.

"Huawei and ZTE Corporation of China should be banned from participating in 5G network rollout in India. It is also urged that technology and equipment of both Huawei and ZTE Corporation should be banned for use in 5G network rollout by any company," CAIT's letter said.

Further, the Ministry of communications will reinstate the pending discussion on the approval for 5G trials by the private companies including Bharti Airtel Ltd., Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd., and Vodafone Idea Ltd. which got deferred due the nation wide lockdown.

After getting banned from the U.S., U.K. and Australia, which raised issues about the companies and were officially declared as national security threats by the U.S. Federal Communications Commission. A decision on the ban will be announced in a week or two after approval from the prime minister’s office.

Earlier this year, Huawei was allowed to participate in its 5G trial, but due to the chinese action along the disputed border areas and clashes that led to losing 20 Indian soldiers, Huawei is also on the verge of dissolving in India.
