After the floor test in Rajasthan, the Congress central leadership on Sunday tried to find a solution to the long-running dispute in the state, which put the Ashok Gehlot government in jeopardy.

The party has removed Avinash Pandey as AICC in-charge of the state and announced a three-member panel to address the issues raised by (Sachin) Pilot and agitated MLAs.

Senior party leader Ajay Maken will be the new general secretary of Rajasthan. Pandey's expulsion was one of the conditions that were allegedly put forward by Pilot, who has been removed as state Congress chief and deputy chief minister.

The three-member committee set up to look into the issues causing political crisis will include veteran party leader Ahmed Patel, general secretary-in-charge of the organization KC Venugopal and Maken.
