COIMBATORE: Two more cops attached to the Crime Branch-CID in Coimbatore have tested positive for
Covid-19. The
CB-CID office has been closed for fumigation.
CB-CID rural police inspector Sumathi and head constable Saravanan, who is the driver for CB-CID DSP OH Raju, tested positive for Covid-19 on Monday. They were admitted to ESI Hospital.
A CB-CID team led by Raju is investigating the death of
Sri Lankan don Angoda Lokka. Sumathi was part of the team.
On Saturday, a special sub-inspector of police from the CB-CID tested positive for Covid-19.
The Covid-19 cases would delay investigations into the Angoda Lokka case, a CB-CID source said.
