Covid-19: Punjab minister Gurpreet Singh Kangar, deputy speaker Ajaib Singh Bhatti infected

BATHINDA: Punjab revenue minister Gurpreet Singh Kangar and state assembly deputy speaker Ajaib Singh Bhatti tested positive for Covid-19 on Sunday. Kangar hoisted the national flag on Independence Day in Mansa town a day earlier, while Bhatti led a similar event in Faridkot.
Earlier, two Congress MLAs and cabinet minister Tript Rajinder Bajwa had tested positive for the virus. The revenue minister has self isolated in his native Kangar village in Bathinda district. His relative Narinder Singh Bhaleria, residing at Bathinda, too has tested positive. Apart from presiding over Independence Day programme, Kangar inaugurated couple of projects on Saturday.
Mansa MLA Nazar Singh Manshahia, a contact of Kangar, is in quarantine too. Kangar said, “ I have self isolated and want everyone who came in my contact should isolate themselves too.”
