Netizens call out Aamir Khan for meeting Turkish First Lady Emine Erdogan amid 'Laal Singh Chaddha' recce

Aamir Khan's visit to Turkey has made headlines for different reasons. The superstar visited the country for a recce of his upcoming film, Laal Singh Chaddha which he is planning to shoot there from October this year. On Sunday, a photo made it to the Internet where Aamir is seen meeting up with the First Lady of Turkey, Emine Erdogan. This made the Internet talking and people are calling out Aamir for paying a visit to her.
Netizens wrote about strained relations between India and Turkey which is happening amid Aamir's visit. Many wrote that this shouldn't be taken as an ordinary meeting and bashed the actor for the same. One of them wrote, "Aamir Khan Refused to join Nationalist Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu when he was in Mumbai. But he went to Turkey to meet Turkish PM who supports Pakistan on Kashmir issue and also gave anti-India statements. Won't be surprised if #AamirKhan feels unsafe again in India."

Meanwhile, Erdogan tweeted photos with Aamir and wrote, "I had the great pleasure of meeting @aamir_khan, the world-renowned Indian actor, filmmaker, and director, in Istanbul. I was happy to learn that Aamir decided to wrap up the shooting of his latest movie ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ in different parts of Turkey. I look forward to it!"
Laal Singh Chaddha also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan as the female lead and is the Hindi remake of Hollywood film Forrest Gump. The English flick starred Tom Hanks in the titular role.
