Undoubtedly one of the biggest names in the Telugu film industry, Mahesh Babu is the reigning star in the south. Bestowed with the title “Prince of Tollywood”, he's been working in front of the camera since the young age of four, and today, is the poster image of a family man who effortlessly juggles between hectic work schedules and family life. Mahesh Babu has been married to actor Namrata Shirodkar for over a decade now, and the couple are parents to two children: son Gautam Ghattamaneni and daughter Sitara Ghattamaneni, who are already social media stars in their own right. In an exclusive interview with Vogue India he once revealed, “Namrata and I have been married for 14 years. We understand each other well. And we let each other be. That’s the most important secret to a successful marriage. Space. And of course, children—they ground you. I have to credit my dad for teaching me that. When he came home to us, he wasn’t a star.” 

With all of India currently focusing on distancing, Mahesh Babu and family have been self-isolating over the past few months in their home in Hyderabad, but have been constantly updating their fans with all their at-home activities. Mahesh Babu's plush study room champions dark, earthy tones 

Mahesh Babu's study follows a dramatic, old-world aesthetic with luxurious leather fittings and lots of dark hues. The room's olive walls feature wooden panelling, which matches flawlessly with the glossy hardwood floors in mahogany. A plush green leather couch that sits across Mahesh Babu's desk takes centre stage here, facing a wall lined with interesting pieces of modern art. 

The study, of course, is also home to the Telugu star's at-home work station: a large stately-looking desk with a glossy marble top and wooden detailing. Facing Babu's green couch, one can also spot a large flat screen television, where the actor can catch up on daily news updates, or just enjoy an afternoon of movies with his daughter. White blinds, taupe curtains and several intricately woven rugs add a cosy element to the grand aesthetic of the room. 

Walk through Mahesh Babu and Namrata Shirodkar's dining area

Each corner of Mahesh Babu and Namrata Shirodkar's Hyderabad home has been curated thoughtfully, and the final result perfectly blends the charm of the old with the comfort of the modern. The couple's dining area features glossy brown eight-seater table with pearly white leather chairs, which sits against a red brick wall that adds a touch of grunge to the space. A large gold framed mirror reflects white walls and a crystal chandelier, and sitting below this mirror is a mosaic-style side table topped off family treasures including a handful of family photographs. While Babu's study followed the aesthetics of an old-school gentlemen's club, this part of the mansion gives one the feeling of being in a New York loft.  

Don't miss Mahesh Babu's indoor pool

Not unlike Samantha Akkineni's home, Mahesh Babu and Namrata Shirodkar's Hyderabad bungalow comes with its own pool, which has come in quite handy during this time of social distancing. The pool area features a textured brick wall on one side, while another edge comes with a large window that faces the family garden. It's safe to say that this may just be the most exciting corner of the mansion. 

Step outside into Mahesh Babu's lush green backyard

Mahesh Babu's Hyderabad home comes with lots of outdoor space. Sprawling lawns surround the bungalow, lined with different varieties of trees and shrubs. The space also includes a sit-out area with wood-panelled flooring and minimal white leather patio furniture, where the star can relax and enjoy the afternoon sun with his pet dogs.  

Have you seen Mahesh Babu's son Gautam Ghattamaneni's room? 

Textured walls seem to be a favourite in Mahesh Babu and Namrata Shirodkar's home. The couple's son Gautam's bedroom features white-washed exposed brick walls, and hardwood floors decorated with regal rugs here and there. A black study table embedded with metal studs is where you'll spot Gautam's iMac, which sits not too far away from his white bulletin board full of important school circulars and his wall-mounted shelf, filled to the brim with video games and DVDs.

Gautam's bed comes with a dark brown leather headboard complemented by dark blue pillows, and a row of family photographs above the bed add a sweet personal touch to the space. A white shelf in one corner of the room stores the teen's books and games. One can also spot a beige arm chair next to the floor-to-ceiling windows, perfect for enjoying a good book during the day. 

Sitara's room is inspired by Disney princesses

Scroll through Mahesh Babu's Instagram feed and you're bound to spot multiple photographs of the Telugu icon enjoying his time off with daughter Sitara in her room. While Gautam's bedroom follows a minimal aesthetic, Sitara's all-white space comes with unmissable Disney princess references, starting with her wallpaper, which features Cinderella, Belle, Ariel and Aurora posing in front of a huge castle. A white bed (complete with a creamy velvet headboard), white shelves filled with colourful stuffed toys, and lots of family photos pepper the space, and multicoloured butterflies decorate certain corners of her room too.
