Deepender Hooda flays BJP-JJP alliance over farmers issue and unemployment in Haryana

CHANDIGARH: Taking strong exception over the remark of traitors for farmers by spokespersons of BJP, CWC member and Rajya Sabha MP Deepender Singh Hooda strongly condemned the BJP. He said that 130 crore Indians raise the slogan of Jai Jawan-Jai Kisaan as soldiers and farmers come from the same family.
An insult to the Kisan is also an insult to the Jawan- "If the farmer irrigates the fields of the country with his sweat, his son becomes a soldier and defends the border of the country till the last drop of his blood. The BJP has committed a grave sin by calling the farmer, who gives his blood and sweat to the country, a traitor," said Deepender during the webconference.
The Rajya Sabha MP said the people of Baroda will teach a lesson in the by-election to those who have shown disrespect to the farmer as it the land of farmers and soldiers. "During the Congress government, BJP leaders themselves led protests as farmers, but no one called them traitors. Today, the same people are sitting in power and are calling the farmers, protesting democratically, as traitors. Nothing can be more unfortunate," he added.
Hooda said the BJP government has consistently taken decisions that harm farmers due to its anti-farmer policies.
The Congress leader, who is the lone opposition MP in Haryana, also flayed BJP-JJP alliance over the issue of farmers in the state. He came down heavily on the three proposed ordinances which according to him were totally anti farmer.
Deepender took on the state BJP government on the employment data and said data from CMIE has shown that Haryana now holds the shameful record of being the state with the highest unemployment rate across the country this month.
"Instead of giving jobs to the youth, the Khattar government is snatching whatever employment that exists. The fact is that the Khattar government does not stand anywhere when we compare it with the number of jobs created during our term. We gave more jobs in the education department than what Khattar government has done in all departments in their six years," he pointed out.
Deepender shared the details of the advertisement and the year of the recruitments made during the Congress tenure. During this period, 51,511 recruitments of HSSC, HPSC, college-university cadre and others took place in the education department, he said. If guest teachers, computer teachers and lab attendants are also added to these, then the figure of jobs becomes 80,211. If the administration, technical, group D and contractual staff of education department are also included in the recruitment, then this figure is about one lakh. He pointed out that the figure does not include the jobs generated in private colleges and universities established during that period, according to Deepender Hooda.
