GURUGRAM: A man has been booked for allegedly breaking the boundary wall of a government land in Udyog Vihar-4 across Air Force station and building a structure on it.
According to police, the accused has been identified as Praveen Kumar. “A field in-charge had informed the officials at Haryana State Industry and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) that a wall had been built over the said land. The department then filed a complaint with the Udyog Vihar police station,” a police officer said.
An FIR has been lodged against Kumar under Section 447 (punish for criminal trespass) of IPC. HSIIDC has also sought deployment of police force for the demolition of the temporary structure built on the land. HSIIDC will be demolishing the structure in the coming days.
Encroachment and illegal construction are rampant in the area around the IAF depot, especially the restricted 900m zone falling under MCG limits.
