MUHS to hold PG exams from today
Nashik: The Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) has put in place a 31-point standard operating procedure (SOP) for conducting its summer 2020 examination in the midst of Covid-19 pandemic.
Over 9,700 students will appear for the post-graduate (PG) examination of different health science streams from August 17. While the exams for courses like ayurveda, homeopathy and nursing would begin from August 17, the exams for allopathy course like MS, MD etc would start from August 25.
The varsity’s controller of examination, Ajit Pathak, told TOI that the exam centres across the state has been increased to from 75 145 in view of the Covid-19 safety protocol.
Pathak had a video conference with all the exam centre in-charge and discussed the guidelines to hold the examination in a smooth manner.
Unlike previous exams this time there would be no frisking of any examinees before the exam due to physical distancing norm that must be adhered to. But students would not be allowed to wear wrist watches.
Moreover there would be mandatory thermal screening of all those involved in the exams, including the students. The students will have to mandatorily wear masks while writing the exam. If any student forgets to bring a mask, the varsity would provide the student with a fresh mask. Students are also permitted to use face shields and gloves.
