According to the plan, the powers that the Deputy Chief of Army Staff (Strategy) would have under this post include Director-General of Military Operations, Military Intelligence, Operational Logistics, Planning, and War Notice. These powers would come to the Deputy Chief of Army Staff (Strategy) in any military headquarters.

During the main border dispute, 13 lakh soldiers are being run on behalf of the major operations, planning and logistics will ensure coordination in an institutional manner.
