Aston Martin Vantage, DBS Superleggera Get 007-ified Ahead of James Bond Movie

The boffins (that's a British word for 'smart person') over at Q, Aston Martin's customization shop, recently got their hands on a 2021 Vantage and a 2021 DBS Superleggera for a new 007 Limited Edition to preview the new Bond film No Time To Die, and they look fantastic. Q has released a number of James Bond-themed cars over the years, but their newest work is some of their best to date.

The Vantage is the first half of this pair. It is an homage to the V8 Vantage from the 1987 Bond film, The Living Daylights that also features in the upcoming No Time To Die. Outside there's a new mesh grille with a chrome surround to evoke the style of the Vantage film car and features a dashed black and yellow diffuser, door sill, and front lip that ape the look of the missiles that poke out of the OG film car.

Speaking of skis, this special edition Aston can be optioned with limited edition skis and a special ski rack—we recommend opting for these even if you don't ski. Why? They're cool as hell, that's why. Cumberland Grey paint helps complete the exterior of this special Vantage.

Inside, the seats have been finished in black fluted leather as a nod to the upholstery in the original Vantage. There are also carbon fiber seat backs with a pattern of cello "f holes" as a more subtle reminder of the cello chase scene that the most hardcore Bond aficionados will remember.

Buyers can also spec a gadgets panel, just like the one from the film car. Though the new car doesn't come with any of the toys featured in the film, there are toggles for the rocket motor, missiles, lasers, a targeting display, and the ski outriggers. The Vantage comes with either a manual or an automatic gearbox, but if you opt for the auto the shift paddles feature crosshairs on them that allude to the missile guidance system in the film.

The special edition DBS featured here is coated in Ceramic Grey paint, while the roof, mirror caps, lips spoiler at the back, and diffuser are all finished in black-tinted carbon fiber. The Superleggera also comes with chrome "007" badging on the outside of the car to make it plain to everyone that you wish you were James Bond.

Just 100 units of this special edition Vantage will be made, while the DBS is limited to just 25. The Superleggera will be priced from $368,395 and the Vantage will start at $213,795. Both cars are on sale right now, and deliveries are expected to happen during the first four months of 2021.
