Ambala reported a total of 123 fresh positive cases of Covid-19 in last two days, as 55 people were detected with the infection on Saturday and 68 on Sunday, said civil surgeon
Dr Kuldeep Singh.
“A total of 55 people had tested positive for Covid-19 on Saturday, increasing the case tally to 2,501 on the day. Similarly, 68 fresh cases reported positive on Sunday, further increasing the case tally to 2,569 on the day”, said Dr Kuldeep.
As many as 75 patients were discharged on Saturday, taking the recovery count to 2,125 on the day. Similarly, a total of 82 patients were discharged on Sunday, taking the recovery count to 2,207 on the day, said Dr Kuldeep.
“Out of 55 cases reported on Saturday, 25 were from
Ambala Cantt, 18 from
Ambala City, seven from Mullana, three from Shahzadpur, and two from Barara reported on August 15. Similarly, out of 68 cases reported on Sunday, 26 are from Ambala City, 22 from Ambala Cantt, 15 from Chourmastpur, two from Mullana and one each from Barara, Naraingarh, and Shahzadpur”, said Dr Kuldeep.
Accordingly, on Sunday, with the recovery rate of about 85.90%, the case tally reached 2,569 in Ambala, of which; 2,207 patients got discharged, 21 died and 341 are active cases.
