PANAJI: Chief minister Pramod Sawant's first online interaction with students on Friday was made accessible to students with hearing impairment.

A sign language interpreter was brought on board and interpreted his speech and his responses to students questions during the hour long session.

An appeal was made by activists for persons with disability to make the interaction accessible to persons with disabilities.

Sawant said besides special schools for students with disabilities, the state government also has resource rooms available in schools so that slow learners can be integrated in the main stream.
