Pawar also instructed Additional Superintendent of Police (Pune Rural) Milind Mohite to ask his officers and personnel to communicate with citizens properly.

Pune: Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar instructed local administration officials in Baramati to 'first request' and if they do not abide by the rules, 'then take action' against private hospitals who are denying treatment to Covid-19 patients. Pawar also stated that all persons affected by COVID-19 disease must get a hospital bed in a private or government hospital and no one should be denied treatment for any reason.

Meanwhile, after a villager complained that a Police Sub Inspector from Wadgaon Nimbalkar police station was not sympathetic with citizens, Ajit Pawar dialled the concerned officer and gave him a stern warning in his style.

Pawar also instructed Additional Superintendent of Police (Pune Rural) Milind Mohite to ask his officers and personnel to communicate with citizens properly.

Pawar held a review meeting in Baramati on Sunday (August 16) where he gave instructions. Ajit Pawar took serious note of complaints received from patients that they were not admitted to some hospitals and hospital beds were not made available to them in time. Furious over this lackadaisical approach of hospital managements, Pawar instructed Sub-Divisional Officer Dadasaheb Kamble to the first request and then take stern action against such hospitals.

Pawar said, "We must ensure that no patient is ignored or deprived of good treatment during the COVID-19 crisis. Every patient must get a hospital bed, and those who need oxygen shall be provided with oxygenated beds. Patients should be given admission by private hospitals where needed, and in any situation, people's lives need to be saved." Pawar also mentioned that all doctors should sit together and discuss patient management.

Meanwhile, on his way from Baramati to Pune, Pawar directed to widen the road from Baramati to Medad. He asked the officials of the Public Works Department to pave the road from Khandobanagar to the RTO track.
